PMC Lighting is pleased to announce the promotion of Craig Nevers to the position of Director of Product Engineering. Recognizing Craig’s varied contributions to PMC beyond his most recent role as Chief Engineer, this new position offers the opportunity to further expand PMC’s strengths in New Product Development, Custom Fixture Design and Development, Existing Product Improvements, Product Marketing, Technical Consulting and Support, and Sales Engineering. While contributing to himself and directing highly skilled teams of individuals in these various aspects of our business, this position allows Craig the opportunity to focus on market research into new and advanced lighting technologies, integrate industry trends in lighting design into the PMC line of products, work with industry leaders to develop custom solutions to specific challenges, and be a ready resource for product-related needs to all our representative agencies and their clients.
Joining the PMC Lighting team in April of 2007, Craig’s nearly 13 years of experience as Chief Engineer with PMC is supplemented by 8 additional years in the lighting industry in roles such as Design Engineer and Senior Product Development Engineer at companies such as Icon International and Lightolier. Before entering the lighting field, Craig brought his technical problem-solving abilities to the Medical Device (13 years) and Industrial Assembly Automation (8 years) fields. Holding 10 US Patents is a testament to the unique solutions and forward-thinking that Craig brings to the table on even the most challenging situations.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering graduate of the former Central New England College of Technology in Worcester MA, Craig moved to Rhode Island from central Massachusetts in 1984. Married for 36 years with 3 children and 3 grandchildren, Craig spends much of his time working within the church he is a member of, the Christadelphian Ecclesia of Westerly Rhode Island, and especially enjoys quiet times camping, outdoor photography, and fishing with his wife and extended family.
